Come As You Are
Service: Sundays at 10:30 am at Encounter Church
Here at Encounter Church we come from different walks of life and backgrounds but with one purpose, to encounter the living God and live a transformed life by the power of the Holy Spirit. So come as you are and join us on the journey!
Our desire is to provide an atmosphere for growth and ministry. We’re here to serve you and help you find a meaningful place of community and service to God.
If you’re new to Encounter Church or are considering joining us for a service, currently online at our Facebook Page, we hope you’ll find a place where you feel welcomed and at home – even if you’ve never been to church before. Our hope is that you will be changed by God’s Word, encouraged by His people and touched by His presence.
Encounter Church is committed to helping every person believe in Jesus, belong to family, become a disciple and build His kingdom.
What to Expect
We’re an energetic, spirit filled church that loves to worship the Lord as stated in Psalm 100:2 “Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs”. We offer two weekly services; Sunday mornings beginning at 10:00 am and Wednesday evenings beginning at 7:00 pm. We begin each service with worship to the Lord, followed by God’s word and fellowship thereafter. We look forward to seeing you!
We offer children’s ministry during service for children ages 4 to 11. Click here for information about our children’s ministry.
- Why do we stand to sing? Then some Levites from the Kohathites and Korahites stood up and praised the Lord, the God of Israel, with very loud voice (2 Chronicles 20:19). Stand up and praise the Lord your God who is from everlasting to everlasting (Nehemiah 9:5).
- Why do we clap our hands? Clap your hands, all you nations, shout to God with cries of joy (Psalms 47:1)
- Why do we raise our hands in worship? Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and praise the Lord (Psalms 134:2). I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands (Psalms 63:4). I want men everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer, without anger or disputing (1 Timothy 2:8).
Transforming Our Community with the Gospel.
To bring people of all walks of life to an encounter with the living God, proclaim that Jesus Christ is Lord and has given us the gifts of the Holy Spirit that guides and dwells in us. “The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth” John 1:14
